One who makes books tends to own a lot of books. Read, unread, gifted, received. Yet, there’s something notable about the meticulous, fragile, and sometimes overlooked, zines and chapbooks that can’t stand or stack well on shelves.
Today, I made the snowy afternoon one for organizing. I can’t believe how much ‘special’ literature I’ve acquired over the years! From a square inch to a standard 5.5” x 8.5” chapbook, there is a lot to dive into.
From eye-catching jacket design to intricate binding, here is a recap of some of my favorite small press wares. The video is about 9 minutes long and features books from APEP Publications, Ethel Press, Rinky Dink Press, Madhouse Press, my own Thirty West Publishing, and much more.
