We at Thirty West are pleased to announce the three coauthors of Escaping Emily, a literary realism novel about the titular character finding purpose in her career at a peculiar wellness company while desperately keeping face with her tumultuous, immediate family. This is one of three novels in “The Ternion,” which is coming this summer.
Alright, without further ado, here are the authors…
David Estringel is a Xicanx writer/poet with works published in literary magazines and journals, such as The Opiate, Azahares, Cephalorpress, Sledgehammer Lit, Ethel, Literary Heist, Cowboy Jamboree, San Antonio Review, Punk Noir Magazine, Poetry NI, Dreich, Somos en escrito, Fahmidan Journal, Ethel, The Milk House, Beir Bua Journal, and Roi Faineant Press. David received his BA in English and MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas along with a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies.
He is the author of multiple books, including Indelible Fingerprints (Alien Buddha Press, 2019), Cold Comfort House, (Anxiety Press, 2022), Blind Turns in the Kitchen Sink (Anxiety Press, 2023), and numerous chapbooks, PeripherieS (The Bitchin’ Kitsch, 2020), Eating Pears on the Rooftop (Finishing Line Press, 2022), and more.

Alexandra Naughton is a writer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Be About It Press, established in 2010.
She is the author of several poetry collections including a place a feeling something he said to you (Spooky Girlfriend Press, 2020), You Could Never Objectify Me More Than I've Already Objectified Myself (Punk Hostage Press, 2015), I Will Always Be In Love (Paper Press, 2015), and I Wish You Never Emailed Me (Ghost City Press, 2016). Her first novel, American Mary, was published by Civil Coping Mechanisms in 2016. As of today, Alexandra has been republishing the novel as a serial on her Substack, talk about it.
Her writing has been widely published on the web and in print, and she performs regularly, along with cohosting the reading series, Bring a Blanket, in Philadelphia.
