What has been missing
now found: the leaf re-
moved from the ginkgo;
the ointment for the itch
profane; the ‘s’ from my
toward; the extra voice
in the chorus; the jim-
jams in my spleen; the line
item that said too
much, too true, too
obvious, too often,
therefore excised so
you could un-excavate
the hole I meant to leave.
